ROCKVILLE, Md. — June 27, 2023 — Psomagen is pleased to announce the addition of the 10x Genomics Xenium Analyzer to our fleet of instruments. This platform will allow Psomagen customers to dive into the world of spatial biology, understanding cellular structure and function at a new level.
At the time of of writing this article, Psomagen is the first and only US-based commercial sequencing company to acquire a Xenium, bringing subcellular spatial capabilities to American customers.
The Xenium Analyzer's subcellular profiling capabilities provide new insights on cellular mechanisms, in detail that has never before been possible. According to Psomagen's CEO, Dr. Su Hong, "Psomagen's deep omics expertise makes us the perfect partner to bring this exciting new capability to our US-based customers." The company has nearly 20 years of experience in the genomics research space, and is a trusted CRO for many researchers across North America.
The research capabilities and affordability of spatial biology will open major pathways in disease treatment and biomarker identification. Dr. Hong continues, "Our customers need access to insights that only come from studying cells in their native tissue contexts. We can make that a reality now, not after the next grant funding cycle or CapEx budget approval."
The Xenium is Psomagen's third 10x Genomics platform; their labs also provide services on the Chromium X and Chromium Controller for single cell applications.
