MEET THE SCHNABLE LAB

As our population grows and climate changes, the importance of creating high-yield crops to feed the world increases.

Join us as we get to know the Schnable Lab, based at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, about their efforts to isolate DNA from available plant material to create sturdier and higher-yielding food crops.

Their research interests include:

  • Comparative functional genomics
  • High-throughput phenotyping
  • Quantitative genetics

Psomagen has performed sequencing for many of the lab’s projects including this recently published paper:

Kinetic variation in grass phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylases provides an opportunity to enhance C4 photosynthetic efficiency
